How do I scan documents with the NeuraScanner?

Learn how to load documents, configure scan settings, and save your scanned files.

  1. Preparing the Scanner:
    • Ensure the scanner is powered on and connected to the computer.
    • Check that the sliding paper guide is adjusted to the width of your document.
  2. Loading Documents:
    • Place the document face-down on the feed tray.
    • Align it with the paper guide to avoid skewing during the scan.
  3. Configuring Scan Settings:
    • Open the NScan software and select the appropriate settings:
      • Mode: Choose Color, Grayscale, or Black & White based on your needs.
      • Resolution: Use 300 DPI for standard scans or 600 DPI for high-detail documents.
      • Compression: Select PDF or TIFF for smaller file sizes.
  4. Running the Scan:
    • Press the “Start Scan” button in the software interface.
    • Monitor the progress using the on-screen indicators.
  5. Saving Your Scan:
    • Name your file and choose a save location when prompted.
    • Select a file format (PDF, JPEG, or TIFF) suitable for your purpose.
  6. Best Practices for Continuous Scans:
    • Keep the document feed area clear to avoid jams.
    • For longer documents, use the jog feature to create additional slack.
