Why isn't the NT1000 printing? - Lid Sensor

Printer prints blank pages.  Document length is correct.

Load paper into NT1000 printer.  Power on the NT1000 printer with the jog button held down to print the status report.

If the printer "thinks" it is printing and feeds the amount of media expected, but no print appears, it indicates that the printhead was not engaged, likely because the lid was not properly shut.

Printhead not engaged --> Lid not properly shut.

Another example.  Printer prints sections of print, then black pages, then print, then blanks, etc.  No pausing.  The length of the printed document is as expected.

If the lid is slightly open, but not enough to trigger a lid open error, the print may come and go as it prints, due to intermittent printhead engagement.

Check to make sure the printer lid is properly closed.

The lid and sensors may need to be cleaned.

If the lid is closed correctly and sensors are clean, contact Neuralog for support.
